A Brief History of Our Club.
Croydon FC is an Australian semi-professional soccer club in Adelaide, South Australia and currently competes in the National Premier Leagues South Australia.
WHERE
We play our home games at Regency Park Complex, Regency Park in Adelaide's north-western suburbs. We are one of the most successful clubs in South Australian soccer.
PolOnia
The club's ethnic background is Polish Australian and was founded as the Polonia Adelaide Sports Club on 16 June 1950. Polonia Adelaide Sports Club was built by Polish Migrants who were committed to offering sport as an avenue to build community connection and belonging, with soccer being the most popular.
Our history
We entered the 3rd division of the SASFA competition in 1952 and won the championship in our first year. 1993 saw the implementation of the U23 team replacing the Reserves and the removal of ethnic names from the league. Hence the teams were known as Croydon Kings. In the modern era the club has won 5 League Championships, 2 Federation Cup Championships and 1 FFA Cup appearance- establishing itself as of the most successful clubs in SA.
